Status:
Egon Limited offers a wide range of new vehicles to lease including commercial vehicles and cars. Our services include in depth knowledge of vehicle leasing and related products and services.
Regulation:
Egon Limited undertakes to comply with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for arranging the leasing of cars and commercial vehicles and vehicle funding advice. Our FCA Firm reference number is FRN 679321. Egon Limited trading as Egon Car Leasing are registered with the (British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association) number 10908. We are registered under the Data Protection Act Number ZA076738.
Charges / Cancellation Fees:
The Consumer Contract (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If we deliver a car to a private customer ( not a business) without meeting them face to face the sales will be governed by these regulations. This gives you certain rights that are explained below. Contract: When you lease a car or commercial vehicle we will detail with the order the following:
>The main characteristics of the goods
>Our address and contact details
>The total price of the goods
>The arrangements for payment and delivery
Cancellation: You may have the right to cancel a contract, in writing within 14 days from the day you take delivery subject to conditions set by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013. A cancellation form will be provided with the documentation or can be requested from us by emailing sales@egoncarleasing.co.uk or calling us on 01952 290949.
Return of Vehicle: On receipt of a cancellation we will contact you to confirm arrangements for collection of the vehicle, Charges may apply for collection. You are required to make the car available at a pre-determined date and time within 15 days of the delivery date.
Commission: We may receive a commission or other benefits from one of our finance providers should you decide to enter into an agreement with them as a result of our introduction. This is reflected in the monthly lease rate that you pay for your vehicle. The amount of commission received may vary depending on the funder selected, the terms of the funding and other criteria, such as achieving high levels of customer service. Some funders may also pay us an additional commission based on business volumes. If you would like more information regards to the disclosure of commissions, please email sales@egoncarleasing.co.uk.
Disclosure Of Information: It is your responsibility to ensure that all information, statements or answers made by you to us or your insurers, are correct and complete as any failure to disclose facts material to ourselves, the finance /leasing company or the insurance provider direct may result in inaccuracies in your answer which may invalidate your insurance cover in part or in whole. Facts material to the insurance are matters or information which might influence your insurer as to the acceptability or otherwise of your proposal or renewal and must be disclosed at the first opportunity and during the term of the insurance contract. These facts include, but are not limited to, previous and outstanding claims, changes to your address, occupation or use of the vehicle, prosecutions whether involving a motor vehicle or not and medical conditions that are notifiable to the DVLA.
Confidentiality: Unless required by law, public interest, our regulator the Financial Conduct Authority, or with your prior written consent, all information you supply will be kept confidential by Egon Limited, its member companies and the parties involved in the normal course of arranging and administering your Vehicle Finance or Lease.
Data Protection: Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have the right to see personal information about you that we hold in our records. Should you wish to exercise this right a small administration fee may be incurred. Policy Terms: You must carefully read all documents that we send you, including the wear and tear company guidelines document.
Fraud Prevention And Detection: To prevent and detect fraud we may at any time: Share information with other organisations and public bodies including the police although we only do so in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.Check and/or file details with fraud prevention agencies and databases and if we are given false or inaccurate information and we identify fraud, we will record this.
